nordstrom fur demoFur Free Friday - Last Call For Shipping IDA Materials To Your Event

This year's Fur Free Friday event is fast approaching - November 25. Don't miss your opportunity to join with thousands of other activists worldwide for this international day of action.

Mark your calendars, contact IDA, and plan now! We must raise our voices in unison to educate shoppers and the media about the real cost of fur – the cold, brutal fact that more than 50 MILLION fur-bearing animals are killed for fashion each year. Whether on fur farms, where they go insane from the cramped, filthy conditions, or in the wild where they are trapped and left to suffer, these animals need your help now.

IDA's last day for shipping materials for your event in the U.S. is November 17, so plan now and register your event. We have a new poster to help you stand out. IDA is asking Nordstrom to be the first department store to go fur-free. Please consider targeting Nordstrom if you have one in your area, and we can send you Nordstrom-specific literature. Click here for more info including tools to help you plan.

Spay day at IDAMatching Gift Offer Expires Friday! Act Fast To Double The Value Of Your Donation

One of our generous donors has offered a challenge that will double the impact of any donation you are able to send today!

She wishes to remain anonymous. Her motivation is not recognition. Her sole desire is to help IDA help animals and encourage you to do the same. Her challenge is simple: She will match, dollar for dollar, up to a total of $10,000, any donation you are kind enough to make from Wednesday through Friday of this week only.

With no restrictions, the funds can be used immediately where they are needed most. If you are able to send $15, it will have the impact of $30. If you are able to send $25, it will have the impact of $50. If you are able to send $50, $100 or more, your contribution will go twice as far as it normally would.

There are no strings attached. The challenge is just as straightforward as it sounds. We have a rare opportunity to make a difference for animals in desperate need. Please don't delay - this offer ends tomorrow - be as generous as you can today! Click here to donate!

Horse Glory at IDA's Hope Animal SanctuaryLots Of News From IDA's Hope Animal Sanctuary In Mississippi

Glory was emaciated when we rescued her from a barren parcel unfit for pasture. Her companions had died and she would have, too. Last Sunday, our equine friend went to her new home. A family that pampers horses and has multiple pastures in which to do so has adopted our beautiful and good-natured mare. We couldn't be happier. We are so grateful for our sanctuary and the support of friends who partner with us to carry out the promise we make every day to the animals in our care. Please click here to visit our blog for more updates from Hope Animal Sanctuary. As always, feel free to post your own thoughts below the blog story.

Ziggy and friendsA Thank You From Homeless Cats

As we enter the coldest season of the year, we want to thank our members for supporting stray and feral cats through our Homeless Cat Campaign. Thanks to our volunteers and your donations, we have been able to find foster homes for over a dozen cats and kittens, some of whom were abandoned this year and have never experienced a winter outside. We have also used your donations to make covered feeding stations and insulated winter shelters for feral cats, so that those who remain outside will be as warm and dry as possible.

To help homeless cats, please donate to our Feral Cat Fund today. We need funds for emergency vet bills and supplies for two litters of kittens who we are catching and taking to foster homes. Thank you again for your generosity.
