Dear Anne, When I first met Boomer, his hair was so matted and tangled it was ripping his skin. This was the reality of Boomer’s life of neglect in a Mississippi puppy mill. When we found him locked in a tiny garage with dozens of other dogs, I could hardly believe my eyes. His fur was such a terrible mess that when HSUS rescuers shaved it off, it came away like a tiny coat.
