When We're Needed Most
ASPCA
Become an ASPCA Guardian
The ASPCA improves the lives of animals across the country each and every day. It could be something as simple as providing the comfort of a meal and a warm bed, or as complex as providing key veterinary forensic evidence in a dog fighting case. We can't always predict where or when we'll be needed, but we're always ready to assist animals in crisis.
Through their continued compassion and support, ASPCA Guardians provide the ongoing support we need to ensure we can carry out our life-saving work. Please consider becoming an ASPCA Guardian today, and provide a monthly gift to the animals who depend on the ASPCA. Now more than ever, we need your help to continue rescuing animals from pain and abuse.
Please Help
We understand that monthly giving may not be possible for everyone. However, even a small one-time gift will empower us to go where we're needed most.
Thank you for your compassionate commitment to animals.
WHERE YOUR DONATION GOES

• The ASPCA works to launch new tools in the fight against animal cruelty, like the Canine CODIS database. This database allows us to archive DNA profiles from dog fighting cases and identify relationships between dogs and the perpetrators of this vicious activity.

• In 2011, we will provide hundreds of life-saving grants to animal rescue groups and shelters in need across the country. Totaling more than $10 million, these grants will impact the lives of countless animals.

• The ASPCA advocates for stronger anti-cruelty laws. We work on the local, state and federal levels to help create a safer nation for animals.

Fwd: Save Dolphins from Dirty Oil

Subject: Save Dolphins from Dirty Oil

Take Action to Protect the World's Oceans

Dirty drilling is putting dolphins and our oceans at risk. But there's a better choice. Take action now and support offshore wind development»

Dear Anne,

Time is Running Out: Save Dolphins from Dirty Oil

Save marine animals from the dangers of offshore drilling.

Tell your Senators to support offshore wind»

Last April, life for dolphins in the Gulf of Mexico changed in an instant. Instead of peacefully playing in the Gulf's warm waters, they had to dodge an evil oil slick. Sadly, not all of them survived. Earlier this year, dead dolphins washed up onshore, with BP oil on their bodies.

Each year, thousands of dolphins, whales, sea turtles, and other marine animals are threatened by oil spills. Our addiction to oil is fueling dangerous offshore drilling and putting our oceans at risk. But the answer to clean energy is blowing in the wind.

Tell your Senators that you want to replace dirty drills with clean windmills. Take action today and help us reach our goal of 20,000 signatures»

Besides the yearly spills that empty thousands of gallons of oil into our oceans, offshore drilling rigs dump tons of toxic fluids and metal cuttings as part of normal business. On top of the dangers of extracting oil, burning fossil fuels releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere, speeding along climate change.

On the other hand, windmills harness a clean and infinite source of energy, while eliminating deadly drilling disasters and creating three times as many jobs as traditional fuel industries. Offshore wind development is not only a smart idea for our wallets, but for the future of our world, too.

When your Senators return from their summer break, we want clean energy development to be at the top of their to-do list. Take action today to save future generations of dolphins, whales, and other marine animals from the dangers of dirty drilling. Speak up for offshore wind»

Tatiana Marshall For the oceans,
Tatiana Marshall

One Dog Stood Alone
In June 2010, ASPCA first responders deployed to rural Tennessee to assist with a critical hoarding intervention. The scene was heartbreaking. More than 80 dogs were found living in deplorable conditions: Some were housed in filthy pens and some were chained to posts, while others roamed the property.
One dog stood alone. Emaciated, pregnant and suffering from severe mange and heartworm, her spirit was clearly broken. But that all changed the day we arrived. With your help, our team provided the emergency care and love she needed. Having gone from rags to riches, she was named Cinderella.
Please Help
Yet for every animal we rescue from cruelty and abuse, there are countless more who still need our help. Please consider a gift today, and help us continue to bring hope and care to animals in their most desperate times of need.
Thank you for your compassionate commitment to animals.

Happily Ever After
Happily Ever After
It didn't take long for a family to fall in love with this little survivor, and Cinderella found a home. But it wasn't until a trip to a local dog park that this fairytale came full circle...
...One afternoon, Cinderella, who usually stayed close to her family, began playing with another dog named Mufasa. In fact, they were inseparable.
Then it happened. Cinderella's guardian suddenly recalled seeing Mufasa at the ASPCA Adoption Center. In fact, he was one of the dogs rescued in Tennessee with Cinderella! In a very big city, these two had magically found each other.
