Oceana creature adoptions - perfect present for your loved ones and the oceans.
Dear Anne,
Protect manatee habitats from oil drills
The Gulf of Mexico is still suffering from the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill: Dolphins have been washing up dead and deformed shrimp and crabs have been discovered by fishermen. But despite this disaster, Congress keeps pushing to open up the East Gulf to drilling, putting even more animals at risk, including nesting sea turtles and endangered manatees. Oceana is fighting to keep the East Gulf safe and oil-free, but we need your help. Your support can help us protect these animals, in Florida and all over the world.
Donate $10 or more today to help us protect manatees, dolphins, and sea turtles»

But there's a new tool that will push sea turtles out of harm's way, and Atlantic fishers are now required to use it when turtles are present. All six species of US sea turtles are endangered, so this is great news for their future!
