PETA - Exposed: Shocking New Animal Testing Video
We're only 58 percent of the way toward our goal of $250,000 in PETA's Global Stop Animal Tests Challenge. Dear Anne,

It's hard to imagine the violence inflicted upon animals trapped in product-testing laboratories. They have harmful substances forced down their throats and chemicals sprayed into their eyes and rubbed onto their shaved, raw skin—without being given anything to numb the pain.

What makes this intense cruelty even worse is how utterly senseless these tests are. There are non-animal testing methods that are better at ensuring the safety of both humans and animals, yet some corporations continue to abuse and kill frightened animals.

Will you help dogs, cats, mice, monkeys, and other animals slated to be killed in animal tests by participating in PETA's Global "Stop Animal Tests" Challenge right now?

If we reach our $250,000 goal by our November 1st deadline, your gift, along with others, will put $500,000 into our vital campaigns to save animals in laboratories. But we are still $103,000 away from our target and urgently need your support today.

PETA is fighting—and winning—the battle to stop product testing on animals. When we learned that giant tea company Lipton had been conducting deadly experiments on animals—including cutting into live piglets so that it could make questionable health claims about tea—PETA sprang into action. We mobilized tens of thousands of supporters to contact the company and prepared a massive campaign to stop these tests for good. Within just days of meeting with PETA and getting a firsthand look at PETA's campaigning power, Lipton executives declared that they would permanently ban all health studies on animals for all the company's tea products.

Not one of the experiments that Lipton conducted was legally required for beveragemakers. But that fact has done little to deter experimenters contracted by multinational corporation Nestlé, maker of the Nestea brand of iced tea, from force-feeding mice tea ingredients before killing them. In one particularly disturbing experiment conducted for the company, mice were bred to suffer from brain damage and rapid aging, locked in dark chambers, and given painful shocks to their sensitive feet before being killed.

You can help our work to stop these and other horrific tests on animals by donating to this special challenge right now.

PETA and kind consumers are demanding that Nestea stop these and other tests on animals immediately and join companies like Lipton, Coca-Cola, and the world's largest green-tea company, Japan-based ITO EN, which have all stopped animal tests, thanks to PETA's lifesaving efforts. While this campaign has attracted global attention and pledges from tens of thousands never to buy Nestea while the company continues to test on animals, there's still much work to be done before cruel consumer-product testing on animals comes to an end.

There are only a few days left to participate in our Global "Stop Animal Tests" Challenge, a unique opportunity to provide hope to millions of animals. Please make a generous contribution online today, and your gift will be matched—dollar for dollar—helping us win even more victories against those who continue to test on animals.

Thank you for supporting PETA's groundbreaking work to expose—and stop—the suffering of animals in laboratories.

Kind regards,

P.S. By participating in the Global "Stop Animal Tests" Challenge right now, you will be helping us move closer to our goal of $250,000 to end tests like those conducted by Nestea and other companies. I urge you to make a generous tax-deductible gift today.
