PETA is trying to stop a cruel monthly chemical attack preparation exercise at Maryland's Aberdeen Proving Ground in which the U.S. Army injects vervet monkeys with a drug overdose to crudely recreate the effects of a nerve agent attack. The monkeys—each of whom is subjected to this torture as frequently as every 60 days for three years—suffer from violent seizures, and some even stop breathing. Please take a moment now to sign the petition to the White House calling for the use of animals in this training exercise to be replaced immediately with modern and superior human simulators.
