Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund ad targeting Senator Brown

Help us reach our goal of $30,000 by Monday, May 16th to run this hard-hitting ad, win a key vote to end wasteful taxpayer handouts to Big Oil and give wildlife a voice in Washington, DC.

Dear Wildlife Supporter,

Using your tax dollars to attack wildlife: That's what Big Oil is doing. They're using billions in taxpayer handouts to invade the homes of endangered sea turtles, threatened polar bears and other wildlife struggling to survive.

Now the Senate is poised to put an end to taxpayer subsidies that are used to harm our wildlife -- and Defenders Action Fund is launching an ad campaign to help pass this vital bill.

Please donate today to help us run our ad to stop Big Oil handouts that harm our polar bears, sea turtles and other wildlife.

Over the last decade, Big Oil's top five companies have raked in more than $900 billion in profits.1 Yet these companies still receive billions of dollars in taxpayer handouts each year.2 And over the past five years, Big Oil has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to lobby for more harmful drilling that puts our wildlife in danger.3

In a time of record deficits, using your tax dollars to prop up profitable polluters just doesn't make sense -- especially when they put our wildlife and wild places at risk.

Help us reach our goal of $30,000 by Monday, May 16th to run our hard-hitting ad, win a critical vote to end wasteful taxpayer handouts to Big Oil and provide wildlife with a key voice in Washington, DC.

If we can get the right ad in front of the right people, we can help affect the outcome of this vote. That's why our ad will target Senator Scott Brown (MA) -- a critical vote in the battle to eliminate these wasteful Big Oil handouts.

Wildlife Supporter, we don't have much time to get our ad up and running. The Senate vote on eliminating these harmful subsidies could come as early as next Tuesday. That's why our strategic campaign needs your immediate help.

We need to get our ads in front of Senator Brown and his constituents as soon as possible. Will you be a part of this campaign?

Sea turtles, dolphins and other Gulf Coast wildlife are still feeling the effects of last year's BP drilling disaster. Yet Big Oil still gets your tax dollars for more risky drilling in the Gulf.

America's polar bears are struggling to survive -- with biologists predicting they could disappear in just a few short decades. But Big Oil still gets your tax dollars to drill in key polar bear habitat.

You can help end taxpayer handouts that harm our wildlife and wild places. Help us run our hard-hitting ad to win this key vote.
