Sticky tar coating the surface made swimming – and breathing – difficult. Hundreds of threatened and endangered turtles were hurt, and many baby sea turtles may never have even had a chance to live. Now, on the anniversary of this devastating spill, Congress is considering legislation that would allow more drilling! Oceana is committed to stopping these bills from passing, but we need to reach our $50,000 goal to keep up the fight in the tough weeks to come.
