On July 21st, Massachusetts put into effect a law banning devocalization surgery on dogs and cats. Known as "Logan's Law", the bill received overwhelming bipartisan support in the State Legislature. This victory for animal safety would also not have been possible without the almost 40,000 signatures we received urging Massachusetts lawmakers to enact this bill. We thank you for your continued support of these important causes.

There's still much that can be done to help protect cats and dogs: Sign our petition to Strengthen The Animal Welfare Act and put pressure on Congress to insist that online pet retailers are properly licensed and subject to inspection.
